Anglican Church Stained Glass Windows

Christ Church in Rawdon is known for its eighteen beautiful stained glass windows offered as  memorials to members of early Rawdon families. These families were Mason, Herbert, Smith, Boyce, Hamilton, Kirkwood, Parkinson, Sharp, Morgan, Blagrave, Gray, Scroggie, Copping, Saggers, Brown and the Reverends Davis, Rollit and Seaborn.

The windows represent the major events in Jesus’ life. Each has a text from the New Testament as well as the name of the person/persons being memorialized. It is well worth a visit to the church just to enjoy the beauty of these stained glass works of art.

A few years ago Marion and Yarka Loffelmann donated a booklet featuring the windows and a history of the church. The gorgeous photos are the work of Jacques Pontbriand.
